4.0étoiles sur 5 Make your own world of Adventure, Avril 23 2004
Par Shane Welin (Greenwood, Nova Scotia Canada) - Voir tous mes commentaires
I bought the D20 Modern Sourcebook as a means of using it to create my own indepth gaming worlds. There are PLENTY of organizations, enemies and story ideas within the book, but I just have too many of my own to use it. The book is wonderful, encouraging "multi-class" characters, leaving creations limit only being ones imagination. And of course, used in conjunction with the Urban Arcana source books, makes for a great sci-fi fantasy mix we all know and love. I've used D20 Modern to create a Mafia campaign, as well as currently working on a Spec Ops Campaign using a familiar group of G.I.s *hint hint* I love the book, and think it's a great addition to anyone's gaming shelf.

5.0étoiles sur 5 One of the best out there, Mars 17 2004
I am a fan of D&D, (even though with my busy lifestyle, I haven't been able to invite my friends to roleplay with me) but in my opinion, this d20 Modern system is much more fun. It is a lot less complicated, and has amazing fun possibilities! In the normal D&D, if you wanted to heal yourself, you used a potion or a spell. In this, you can use a potion or a spell, but you can make yourself a healing pizza or a healing cookie instead! Its the little things like that that make the game fun. Its great! There are hardly any errors in it. The only errors I've seen are actually little insignificant typos, like 'kll' instead of 'kill' and 'inccludes' instead of 'includes'. And its the first edition! That is very rare. Its well done, I applaud the writers. Some people here complain about things like a gunshot not killing someone. But think about it: killing an enemy in one shot? Kinda pointless. I have the Urban Arcana as well, and you shouldn't go without that. Really, buy this! There's something about it that the normal D&D doesn't have! (Besides the guns, cars, and technology)

5.0étoiles sur 5 Awesome, reguardless of all bad reviews, Mars 13 2004
First of, I'd like to say, what's wrong with you people? I for one began playing D&D 3.5 and it was great, but, being DM I found myself at a loss creating dungeons... anyway, I happened upon this book and after perusing I found myself saying, "Sweet!!! I finally have material to build my own Final Fantsay-esque campaign setting!" I for one am pleased immensley. If you've played anything d20, which rocks, thanks, or if you're new to the system, I recommend this book with Urban Arcana. It's D&D in a modern setting... how cool is that? Forget what others say, I've invested a sizable amount of time in reading the material, it rocks! If you want free wheeling, try the marvel RPG with cards, and leave the real gaming to those of us with taste!!!
