3.0 out of 5 stars Providing book information, Feb 6 2007
By Gemma "bookworm" (Alberta, Canada) - See all my reviews
From the back cover:

Where there's smoke, there's fire...

When delicately beautiful Lacy Jarrett arrived at the Spanish Flats Ranch, she had eyes only for Coleman Whitehall, the big Texan cowboy whose dark handsome face and fierce gaze betrayed his Comanche heritage. Their every exchange crackled with intensity. But even when convention forced them to marry, Lacy could not evade the obvious: Cole did not love her.

What Lacy didn't know was that Cold had kept a whole chapter of his life utterly secret. To tease out the truth, she would have to ignite the unspoken passion raging between them. Amid the earthy rhythms of ranch life and the heat of the sizzling Texas sun, Lacy fanned the flames of the raw sensuality that bound them to each other...until even the taciturn Cole could not longer deny the burning ecstasy that was theirs for the taking...

2.0 out of 5 stars Tooooo many story lines, Nov 27 2001
By A Customer
I love Diana Palmer but this book had way too many story lines competing for attention. She should have made this book into a three book trilogy and more fully developed the brother and sister characters. As it is, they just muddle up the story and make it longer than it should be.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wow, Dec 6 2000
This is the first Diana Palmer book I have read and I'm really glad I read it. This book will not disappoint you. The secondary characters are just as important as Cole & Lacy. Pick this book up, it will please you!
