5.0 out of 5 stars Full perspective on Ninja, Dec 22 2003
By Whitney Stewart "Children's Book Author" (New Orleans, LA USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
With sensitivity, Hayes gives readers a clear
explanation of Ninja history, society, weaponry,
and spiritual practice. I appreciated his detailed
explanation of the mental training of ninjutsu.
Highly recommended.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very hard to read, Dec 11 2002
By dasn0wman "dasn0wman" (Brooklyn, NY United States) - See all my reviews
This book may be informative, but I think it is way too informative. How so? It is describing martial arts movement. I don't know about you, but reading how a hand moves or how a weapon moves is very hard to follow. These things are meant to be seen. Some topics like the history and the philosophy makes good reading, but when the author becomes too descriptive with the techniques, it becomes very difficult to follow. Also, the style of writing does not make it easier to read either.

WOW. That's all I can say... If you want content this is the book to get. Filled with information, but never gets boring. I read it in one sitting.
