Product Description

From the Publisher

Smart, beautiful, and very rich, Kezia Saint Martin leads two lives: one as a glamorous socialite jetting between the poshest places in Europe and America; the other, under a false name, as a dedicated journalist committed to justice and her profession. But the two worlds are pulling her apart, leaving her conflicted about her identity and the lies she tells to every man she meets. Then she meets Lucas Johns, a bold, dynamic crusader for social change -- and an ex-con. Their attraction is immediate, but their love may be just one step from tragedy at any time. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Name Is Kezia, Jul 21 2004
By K. Williams (United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Passion's Promise (Paperback)
Hello,

My name is Kezia and I purchased this book because it had my name in it. Although I have read Steel before, I decided to read it again. Kezia is not a weird name because it fails to pass the Eurocentric common names like Mary or Joe or Jack or Linda. NO, it is a Hebrew name. Look it up some time. It is in Job 42:14 and it means 'sweet smelling cinnamon bark and BEAUTIFUL daughter of Job.'

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic book, April 25 2002
By Theresa W (mi, usa) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Passion's Promise (Paperback)
This is another classic danielle steel book. If you don't like that period of writing for her...the 80's, early 90's...you might not like this book. I, however, love her earlier works & think there is NO comparison. This is such an interesting story, and it's a story that takes you places, twists & turns & when it's done, you want more. Someone mentioned the name Kezia was a strange name, well, early DS books are like that. They have fantastic plots, names, stories...it is what makes it a DS book. worth the read!

3.0 out of 5 stars Starts out Slow, Finishes with a bang, April 3 2001
By "missthing2u" (Garland, Texas USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Passion's Promise (Paperback)
I really thought throughout the first 70 pages that I was going to give up on this book, just put it down and forget about it. The style DS uses during writing this book is quite different from many of her other novels. The style reminded me of Anne Rice during Exit to Eden. There was a lot to the book, many thoughts, and runnings of the mind; you could call it a big mood swing. I didn't care about Kezia or the other characters at all until about halfway through the book. Then, it turned into something interesting. Passions Promise should have probably been titled "Kezia's Emotional Roller Coaster." The thing that makes you read on is out of curiousity wondering if this crazy chick is going to get it together in time to rip out another heart. The ending is not so great that it makes the boring first chapters worthwhile but it's good casual reading for the die-hard DS fan.

1.0 out of 5 stars I deplore use of objectionable language
The plot is just passable although very repetitious. The languge is filthy, not at all like her other novels. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Yeah, right
What I can't stand is people with weird names. What kinda name is Kezia? of course, all of her novels have wird names. Some are really nice, but others stink! PU

1.0 out of 5 stars Not up to Steel's potential
I never read anything but Danielle Steel and I was quite dissapointed by this one. It's actually quite boring. Not recommended at all.
