Five members of a fictional Harvard class are traced through 25 tumultuous years, culminating in a dramatic reunion at which they confront their classmates and their own lives. --Ce texte provient de la Mass Market Paperback édition.

From the Publisher

From world-renowed author Erich Segal comes a powerful and moving saga of five extraordinary members of the Harvard class of 1958 and the women with whom their lives are intertwined. Their explosive story begins in a time of innocence and spans a turbulent quarter century, culminating in their dramatic twenty-five reunion at which they confront thier classmates--and the balance sheet of their own lives. Always at the center; amid the passion, laughter, and glory, stands Harvard--the symbol of who they are and who they will be. They were a generation who made the rules--then broke them--whose glittering successes, heartfelt tragedies, and unbridled ambitons would stun the world.

"Erich Segal's best."--Pittsburgh Press

This is the best book I have ever read and the only book I have read more than once.

A very powerful novel that completely touches the reader where it really feels !! No words can say anything about the book. You got to read it.

This review is from: The Class (Mass Market Paperback)
This book took me back in College where everyone has their own world, ideas, dreams and aspirations. Mr Segal indeed, gave us the emotions we felt, experienced during those times through the adventures of the 5 individuals.

I enjoyed reading the book, but after i read "Doctors", it seems like a copy of "The Class".

5.0étoiles sur 5 Wonderful novel., Juil 2 2000
Par Eric V. Moye (New York, by way of Dallas) - Voir tous mes commentaires
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Class (Mass Market Paperback)
This is, in my opinion, Segal's best writing. As is his way, he weaves fiction with portions of historical fact, and realism in locale which make the reading more credible, and imminently enjoyable. It moves through conflicts and peacetime; from Cambridge to Europe and the Middle East.

It is a delightful journey of a handful of young people through their respective lives. It has unrecognized (by some, at least) and public triumph, the struggles, and uncertainties that we all have gone through. These members of the Harvard Class of 1958 start in very different places, move together in Cambridge, and then move away (and back together). The well managed story takes the fortunate reader right along with them.

In this novel, I see friends (and acquaintances) from high school, college and law school. A touching and warm book, I have read (like many other reviewers) time and time and time again.
