Beautiful Amber is the only survivor of a brutal Viking attack, and even though her wounds heal, she refuses to speak. Powerful, handsome Truan Monroe loves Amber, but he knows that he can never claim her; beneath his pretense of being a poet and maker of simple magic tricks lurks a truth he can never reveal: Truan is a mighty warrior and sorcerer with incredible powers, including the ability to change shape. When Amber is kidnapped and taken through time to Camelot by evil Gareth, Truan discards his disguise and is recognized as the son of Merlin, the powerful magician of Camelot. Truan must save Amber, so he follows her through the centuries to Camelot, where he wages war against Malagraine, Lord of Darkness, to win Amber's freedom.

Ingram

Truan Monroe, raised an orphan on an isle in the Irish sea, is a deadly warrior and sorcerer of awesome powers. Now, a startling vision of the past sends him through a doorway in time to a place where Merlin the magician has been banished for all eternity. Here, armed with the sword Excaliber, the Holy Grail, and the Prophecy of Cassandra, Truan wages war against Malagraine, Lord of Darkness, and struggles to save the life of the woman he loves.

4.0 out of 5 stars MERLIN'S LEGACY, May 18 2005
By A Customer
I only have 2 of the Merlin's legacy (book 1 n 2), but I can never get enough of them. And to all (like me) me who loves history and historical romances, yes you are right these are good books - heartwarming and super romantic.

4.0 out of 5 stars Truan's Story Book Four In The Series!, Jan 26 2003
By Kristi Ahlers (Illinois) - See all my reviews
(TOP 50 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
I liked this book very much! This is Truan's story. We met him in book four and now he has is own story. Truan is the son of Merlin and he feels that there is no way he can love due to the fact that he is half mortal.

Amber (we met her in previous books as well) has suffered greatly and is unable to speak. She is drawn to Traun the 'fool' and jokster. Truan despite his best attempts also finds himself drawn to the the silent beauty. The darkness manages to get a hold of Amber and takes her back to the time of Aruthr. When Camelot was more then just a legend! Here Amber is able to speak and laugh and finds herself with no memory of Truan but is drawn to him just the same. The battle of good and evil is fought yet again in this magical place and love blooms for both Truan and Amber.

This was a great read and worthy of being part of the this romantic series.
