Descriptions du produit

From School Library Journal

Grade 5-9-- Jade and Deena find typical adolescent amusement in harmless crank calls until Deena's half-brother, Chuck, joining them, overhears a murder being committed. The three teenagers' bravado in seeking out the crime scene leads them into grave danger. This is a good thriller-type mystery in the style of Edith Maxwell's Just Dial a Number (Archway, 1988), but is limited by the stilted dialogue of the adult characters and an unconvincing, overwrought portrayal of the killer. The dominant theme, which could have been excellent, is undermined by inappropriate melodramatic scenes. However, high-traffic murder-mystery sections in young adult departments would not be downgraded by adding this title .

It began as an innocent prank. Call someone on the phone, shake them up a little with some sexy whispers and then hang up. But when one of the numbers is on Fear Street, readers can be sure there is more than "innocence" in store! Original. --Ce texte provient de la Mass Market Paperback édition.

4.0étoiles sur 5 On The Line, Jui 27 2004
Wrong Number is not so much a horror novel but a mystery reminiscent of Nancy Drew.
Deena and Jade are forced to appoint themselves detectives after Deena's kind brother, Chuck, is arrested for a murder he didn't do..A murder they all witnessed!
It all started when the three teens practiced a prank call, and heard a woman beg them for help.

This book is very exciting. Once you start reading the book you can't put it down till you finish the whole story...
You should also read the Wrong Number 2, it's just as good..
You will enjoy reading both the books.

This book was awesome! It had a lot of suspense in it. A great murder mystery story! The wrong number 2 was just as good. One of R.L. Stines best books!

2.0étoiles sur 5 Not the best book
Although this book was ok, I thought it was kind of predictable. It doesn't have one of those endings that R.L. Stine usually have in his books.
