Concluding a Jennifer Ashley novel is like ending a bittersweet journey, for a speck in time the story becomes a part of your life then as the last page is turned and the last word is read you are left with a memory of a brilliant and memorable story which brings a tear to your eye as you reflect upon it, time and time again with hope and admiration.

This is what keeps me returning to Jennifer Ashley. To me all her novels are modern day fairy tales, Highlander Ever After was a journey I enjoyed immensly. With every hurdle there is hope and a sense of deep emotion. The pages turn quick during this journey as you get to know Egan with his clan and his connection and duty for Zarabeth who in herself is a strong and admirable heroin.

The characters were well thought out, descriptive(without revealing too much at once), relatable, heartwarming and magical. I also felt the plot did not disappoint, there was never a dull moment in this facinating story of adventure, scandal, love, hope and the search for happiness.

Highlander Ever After flows perfectly after Penelope and Prince Charming and The Mad Bad Duke.

Enjoy.
