5.0étoiles sur 5 Dazzling and Unforgettable..., Juil 18 2004
Par Un client
Rosemary Rogers' clear, precise writing style is a pleasure to approach in this stunning romance novel, full of adventure and passion. I just love Ginny, she belongs in the pantheon of fictional goddesses alongside Scarlett O'Hara -- so feisty, sexy, and FUNNY! I just adored her...this book is one that will leave you breathless, not just for the steamy scenes between Steve and Ginny, but also the historical intrigue that envelops them...a treat not to be missed. I am telling all my friends about this great book --- my 2004 summertime read!!!!!

5.0étoiles sur 5 Classic Stuff, Juil 7 2004
Par Un client
I cut my teeth on Rosemary Rogers (along with Bertrice Small, Laurie McBain, Woodiwiss and Cartland). I really don't care for the modern romance novels. They're too sweet and predictable. I read this back in the late 70s and have never forgotten the steamy scenes in this book. The scene with Steve and Ginny under the wagon should be studied by all romance writers! Besides that, the plot is so not PC or predictable. I wish the industry make room for books like this. The fact that it's so popular all these years later should tell you something.

5.0étoiles sur 5 The first HOT historical romance and not PC, Mai 15 2004
Par kristy "rose720" (Seattle, WA (USA)) - Voir tous mes commentaires
I'm going to date myself. I first read Sweet Savage Love when it was first published in approx. 1972. The times were a changin, things in the story acceptable then are out of favor now. So when you read this treasure of a story please keep this in mind. That being said, Steve and Ginny are a couple that are survivors in every sense of the word. Individually they are put through the tortures' of the damned. They meet and part meet and part and finally meet at the end. In each meeting they come to care for the other a little more and more each time. They are being made stronger as individuals and the fabric of their love is being woven with steel fibers and not cotton that will tear under adversity or weaken and rot over time. They can finally overcome their mutual pride and admit they love each other in the end. I've explained this simply, but the story is not, it is rich and complex. Believe me when it was first published it was a very hot historical romance. Start with this first Steve and Ginny story and be sure to read the others in the series. They hold up over time, but they are not twenty-first century PC. If your sensibilities need modern PC to enjoy a story--look elsewhere.
