OK, Shirley Bushbee is not one of the most inventive or creative writers around, and her recent stuff has really stunk up the place, but this old novel of hers is one of my favorites, and it made my keeper shelf many years ago. The other reviewers go into the plot, so I won't repeat it here. Suffice to say it's got a good, tight plot with likeable characters and a believably certifiable villian, plus some hot love scenes. I seem to re-read it at least twice a year, so I recommend it!
