5.0 out of 5 stars Great Mystery, May 10 2004
By A Customer
Dear Amazon.com
Down a Dark Hall is a great mystery full of Suspense. Kit is a smart and curious character with a lot of pride. She will do anything to keep herself from becoming a Receiver. I loved the way Lois Duncan described Blackwood Academy, it really did seem to give off an evil feel. I loved this book from the time I read the back of the book to the last sentence of the story. It was great and I highly recommend it for teen girls.

From
Jenna, 7th grader in Miss V's Class at Central Middle School

4.0 out of 5 stars Gripping!, Mar 1 2004

(REAL NAME)
Have been a Lois Duncan fan all my life. This book in particular is one I've enjoyed since I was a teenager. Lois has a unique way of slowly pulling a reader into the world she has created. Like a fish after bait a reader will find themselves quickly hooked and unable to put the book down. After all these years, I still get chills reading this book (as I do most of her young adult suspense novels!).

You won't be disappointed!

2.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT READ THIS BOOK, Jan 18 2004
By YEI "~ Vonny ~" (, IL United States) - See all my reviews
This book was ok. but i expected more from lois Duncan. I would read her other books, but not this one. the only reason i had to start and finish this book is because it was for school. We had to get into groups and read one of the lois duncan books. And i was stuck with this one. theres not enough exciting events and things happening in this book. Don't waste your time people. PLEASE DON'T. READ SOMETHING BETTER, like ( I know what you did last summer). You'll be more satisfied with that one.
