My personality is such that I don't like anyone telling me what to DO...much less what to THINK! But it seems we get it from all sides these days--the media, politicians, celebrities, special interest groups, advertisers...the list goes on and on. They all want to tell us what to think. And in researching material for this book, I've found that even in an area of life as intensely personal and sacred as pregnancy and childbirth, there are people determined to tell us what to think...about care providers...about birthing choices...about darn near everything!
Not here. This is a different take on pregnancy in many ways. Not written by an M.D., R.N., or Ph.D., but by an unofficial expert--an unabbreviated MOM. Not "just the facts"--although there are plenty of those, too. Not politically correct. Not patronizing. And definitely not manipulative.
Sure, I tell you my opinion. But I also tell you to form your own!
I think you'll like this book. I think you'll like that it's written from a mother's perspective. I think you'll like the stories.
