I have 95% of Carolyn Myss' audio material. rarely am I disappointed, sometimes I feel neutral about certain audio books offered by this author but this is NOT the case with this particular audio book.
Carolyn Myss has always projects an image of honesty, directness, and cutting through 'fluffy new age neurosis'.
Considering the subject matter, she leaves you with an impression of a no BS (ethical), straight forward (blunt) projection.
But this audio book offers something more; it offers deep insight about man's evolution, but also offers deep, touching confessions of her own.
I was truly touched by her candor in this audio book.
Sometimes Carolyn Myss offers knowledge, sometimes wisdom, sometimes history, but in this book she offers some of her own core and lays out her own personal evolution.
How many people with the gifts and knowledge of this lady would never do such a thing? Would rather sit and bask in the glory and admiration of others, showing off their medical intuition and deep resources of knowledge. Not this lady! She is much, much more.
I will confess, she touches me and scares me because I simply know through my evolution that what she is stating is the closest thing to truth I have ever heard articulated.
It is not easy!
It certainly isn't 'The Secret'. No no no.
This audio book takes us out of our self-indulgent, self-righteous trains of thought and expression and brings us to a deep-seeded truth, that we all have light (passion) and shadows.
NO ONE is exempt!And that 'healing' cannot be achieved through the mind.
How can one heal the mind if the mind needs healing?
GOOD QUESTION~
So what's left?
Something risky.
Something that might offend many new-agers who want to keep their vocabulary as neutral as possible.
The acknowledgment that 'energy' is (let's call it what it is) spirit and soul and grace.
That PRAYER is a humbling, expansive, transforming and powerful act.
And that that 'thin veneer' doesn't even exist.
