Product Description

From Publishers Weekly

Shopaholicpowerhouse Kinsella delights again with her latest, a winning if unoriginal tale of amnesia striking an ambitious shrew and changing her life for the better. After taking a nasty bump on the head, Lexi Smart awakens in a hospital convinced that it's 2004 and that she's just missed her father's funeral. It's actually three years later, and she no longer has crooked teeth, frizzy hair and a loser boyfriend. Initially wowed by what she's become—a gorgeous, cut-throat businesswoman—Lexi soon finds herself attempting to figure out how it happened. As her personality change and lost memory threaten her job, Lexi tries to dredge up some chemistry with her handsome albeit priggish husband, Eric, though the effort is unnecessary with Eric's colleague Jon, who tells Lexi that she was about to leave Eric for him. Amnesia tales may be old hat, but Kinsella keeps things fresh and frothy with workplace politicking, romantic intrigue and a vibrant (though sometimes caricatured) cast. Though the happy ending won't come as a surprise, readers will be rooting for Lexi all along. (Mar.)

From AudioFile

Charlotte Parry manages to mine the full measure of comedy from this stand-alone novel by the author of the wildly popular Shopaholic series. Parry's timing is impeccable, and the spark she brings to the often embarrassing but always charming exploits of 28-year-old Lexie should win the author more devoted fans. Lexie has to piece her life back together after waking up in the hospital with no memory of the past three years. Suddenly, she has a new husband, a new job, even new teeth--but why is the life she's always dreamed of not making her happy? A perfect blend of romance and humor makes for diverting entertainment. The abridgment feels just right--you never get the feeling you've missed something. 5.0 out of 5 stars How could we forget you, Mar 11 2008

This review is from: Remember Me? (Hardcover)
I have to say this book was great! I read it in two days! It was fun to "meet" the characters as Lexi met them in the book. This book was a humorous yet telling story about what it would be like to wake up with no memory and to have to lead a life that you have no idea how to navigate, to live with a husband that you don't remember meeting. I felt for Lexi as she tried to live the life she was told she had and to follow the rules that she set for herself in the yerars that she lost!

I hope these characters lead to another great series of books!

I loved this book and could not put it down until I finished it. I have read all her books and enjoyed them all. I found this story line to be unique. Memory loss, a new life, secrets...romance! All mixed with Kinsella's humour. I really, really hope there is a sequel! I love these characters!

this book kept me well entertained for a couple of nights... sadly no more than that because you'll simply want to take it everywhere until you finish it. It's engaging, moving and i loved the british humor. this is the first Kinsella book I've read and now I can't wait to dive into some of her other ones!

The story was silly and juvenile. I gave up a third of the way through the book, and tossed it.
