I purchased this series for my 14 yr old daughter for Christmas as it was listed under children 9-12 and Teen. Imagine my surprise to find multiple references to oral sex. So glad that I read these first. I definately don't believe that they are appropriate for her age. I did enjoy the series but won't be giving them to her anytime soon!

This was a very good read. It was very well written. I would recommend it. I couldn't put it down and couldn't wait for the next one in the series.

When Zoey discovers the filthy, deranged shell of Stevie Rae snacking in an alley, she vows to help her friend regain her lost humanity. Sustained by human blood and prone to violent outbursts, Stevie Rae's new basic instincts require patience and caution from others.

Aphrodite's remaining and newly acquired skills and assets result in an alliance of circumstance between herself and Zoey. Aphrodite endures recurrent abuse from Zoey's unforgiving friends and is willing to pay the ultimate price to seek Nyx's absolution for past actions.

Previously ignited romantic interests continue and burn all involved.

-I only have one complaint: The authors, once again, tried to "catch up" new readers by cramming explanations and events about the two preceding books into this one, making their writing "feel" forced. I hope they abort this poor technique in future sequels, or take some lessons from Cassandra Clare.
