Product Description

From Library Journal

Reclusive author Sara Walsh hides from the public for a reason. As a child, she was kidnapped (with her twin sister, Kim) and locked in a root cellar for nine days. Their father, a diplomat, balked at paying the ransom, and Kim died on the eighth day. Twenty-five years later, one of the kidnappers, who remains frustratingly elusive, regularly torments Sara by sending momentos of their time together. Sara is locked in a gilded cage, and the potential key, retired football player Adam Black, may be too explosive for a life lived in shadow, but he is convinced Sara is the answer to his prayers. For all collections.

Product Description

Sara is terrified. She's doing the one thing she cannot afford to do: fall in love with former pro-football player Adam Black, a man everyone knows. Sara's been hidden away in the witness protection program, her safety dependent on staying invisible--and loving Adam could get her killed!

Introducing the O'Malleys, an inspirational group of seven, all abandoned or orphaned as teens, who have made the choice to become a loyal and committed family. They have chosen their own surname, O'Malley, and have stood by each other through moments of joy and heartache. Their stories are told in CBA best-selling, inspirational romantic suspense novels that rock your heart and restore strength and hope to your spirit.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sorry- but I was disappointed, Jul 9 2004
This review is from: Danger in the Shadows (Paperback)
I just felt like the characters, especially the leading lady, were so canned. It felt like the author was trying to impress us with the "perfect lady". Well, I would have liked more realistic characters. I'd also have liked the author to write more about how the characters practiced succesfully and unsuccesfully, their faith in every situation. Sorry- this book didn't do it for me.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the rest of the O'Malley series., May 30 2004

This review is from: Danger in the Shadows (Paperback)
This is an enjoyable and well-written book. However, I did not find it nearly as interesting as any of the other books in the O'Malley series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Book I've Read In Awhile!, April 24 2004
By "funeralfriend" (Mesa, Arizona USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Danger in the Shadows (Paperback)
I bought this book for my Mother in Law for Christmas. She read it while visiting us in 2 days and left it with me, insisting I had to read it. I couldn't wait. I didn't read it as fast as she did, but I could definetely see WHY she read it so fast. From the very beginning, it draws you in. It's very simple to read, and flows very smoothly. Very easy, for me, with two small children to put the book down and come back to it in a few hours. I never got "lost" trying to remember what was happening. The story was great and the ending fabulous. I look forward to reading the O'Malley series and more of Dee Henderson's work in the future!
