Product Description

The kids discover they are caught in a battle between two opposing forces that want very different things for Jonah and Chip's lives.

About the Author

Margaret Peterson Haddix is the author of many critically and popularly acclaimed teen and middle-grade novels, all published by S&S. She lives in Powell, Ohio, with her husband and two children. A graduate of Miami University (of Ohio), she worked for several years as a reporter for The Indianapolis News. She also taught at the Danville (Illinois) Area Community College. She lives with her family in Columbus, Ohio.

I am an elementary school librarian. I like to read a few of our new books so I know what to recommend to our students. This is a high interest suspense novel that I will highly recommend to our upper elementary students. It held my interest from start to finish. Anyone looking for a "can't put it down" page-turner, here you go! I, personally, can't wait for the second book!

This book was AMAZING! This book is one of the best books ive ever read(and i dont even like reading!!!)I 100% recomend this book for everyone. All through out the book i was continuously thinking about what was going to happen next, its like a tv commercial,you know its going to happen but your not sure when. But if it turns out that it doesnt happen, youve already started a new theory with the new information. Like i said this book was awsome and i cant wait for the second one to come out.
