I thought it was terrible, the worst book I have read in a long time.
I couldn't wait till it was over.

If your a fan of historical fiction stay away from this book.
Chick flic lovers might like it. Puchase at your own risk.

Not the usual fairytale retelling. This story like Weyn's Water Song: A Retelling of "The Frog Prince" and The Crimson Thread: A Retelling of "Rumpelstiltskin" is more historical fiction than fantasy. But whereas the other stories have elements of fantasy (magic etc) this is more of a what-if or alternative history novel.

When two Russian men hear about the reward offered for the Grand Duchess Anastasia, their plan is to find a good enough look alike and try to pass her off as Anastasia. Then enter Nadya, a young girl who looks very similar to the Grand Duchess, but who has amnesia and only remembers the last few months since she woke up in a mental institution. Can they use her as the Grand Duchess?

This is a wonderful story of what could have happened when the Romanovs were killed in Russia. It is an excellent addition to the "Once Upon A Time" Series.
