Product Description

From Publishers Weekly

Urban Celtic fantasy slides down a dark, depressing slope in bestseller Moning's third Fever thriller (after Bloodfever), centered on a hunt for the Sinsar Dubh, a black magic book more than a million years old. As All Hallow's Eve in Dublin approaches, the walls between the human world and Faery verge on collapse. Can former Georgia peach MacKayla Mac Lane prevent a total invasion of the Unseelie Court? Originally intent on avenging her sister Alina's murder committed by Unseelie Lord Master, Mac's now a power-player in the war between the Seelie (good Fae) and Unseelie (bad Fae), after learning she's a Celtic sidhe-seeker who can sniff out OOPS (Objects of Power). Meanwhile, the attractive V'Lane, a death-by-sex Fae, wants Mac's help in securing the Sinsar Dubh for his Seelie queen, Aoibheal. At the end, erotic shocks await Mac in Dublin's vast Dark Zone, setting up feverish—if wary—expectations for the next installment. (Sept.)

Product Description

He calls me his Queen of the Night. I’d die for him. I’d kill for him, too. When MacKayla Lane receives a torn page from her dead sister’s journal, she is stunned by Alina’s desperate words. And now MacKayla knows that her sister’s killer is close. But evil is closer. And suddenly the sidhe-seer is on the hunt: For answers. For revenge. And for an ancient book of dark magic so evil, it corrupts anyone who touches it.

Mac’s quest for the Sinsar Dubh takes her into the mean, shape-shifting streets of Dublin, with a suspicious cop on her tail. Forced into a dangerous triangle of alliance with V’lane, an insatiable Fae prince of lethally erotic tastes, and Jericho Barrons, a man of primal desires and untold secrets, Mac is soon locked in a battle for her body, mind, and soul.

As All Hallows’ Eve approaches and the city descends into chaos, as a shocking truth about the Dark Book is uncovered, not even Mac can prevent a deadly race of immortals from shattering the walls between worlds – with devastating consequences...

4.0 out of 5 stars definitely in between, Sep 12 2008
This review is from: Faefever (Hardcover)
First there was Dark Fever, then Blood Fever, now there is Fae Fever and I
can barely wait until Dream Fever hits the shelves. If ever there was a
character I could relate to for being lost between two extremes it is Mac. Poor girl doesn't know who to trust, welcome to the world. This is a quick
read, mainly because it is hard to put down, but it is not quite as good as the first two books. Mac, you can tell is definitely in over her head and you get the impression she is getting just a little too confident, despite her inner fears that she is inadequate for the job. There are definite twists and turns to the story and the jealousy that pops up between her two advisers are quite amusing because you are not quite sure if it is because of her or her power. The ending does catch you off guard, it is not near what you expect and leaves you looking for the next twist in the story. Surely it can't have Mac heading the way it looks. So now what?

5.0 out of 5 stars The riveting story continues..., Nov 5 2009

This review is from: Faefever (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the third in a five book series that has been an unbelieveable roller coaster ride so far! It's fun, witty, sharp, and intriguing with a healthy dose of mystery and romantic tension to-boot. As the story unfolds, more questions than answers seem to appear and I can't wait to unravel them!! This is, by far, the best and most compelling series I've read in a while. Luckily I managed to pick up the first three books and read them concurrently, but then I had to wait a month before the fourth one was released (Dreamfever). Argh!! Thankfully it was only a month, but I hate waiting 'cause I needed to know what happened next! Not many stories/characters get THAT kind of a reaction out of me. Brilliant!

5.0 out of 5 stars Waiting for more!!!!, Jun 19 2009
By Avid Reader "Book Lover" (Sherwood Park, AB Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Faefever (Mass Market Paperback)
This book is the third book in a fantastic, very addicting series. The first two books are Darkfever and Bloodfever. They are about a young woman Mac who discovers that her sister was brutally murderedin Ireland, and who goes there to discover who killed her sister, and to seek revenge on them. Along the way she discovers that she is a sidhe-seer, someone who can see otherworldy creatures called the fae.

Mac is involved with a man named Barrons, and a fae named V'lane. She doesn't have a clue who she can trust, and is trying desperate to figure it all out. This series will take you on a journey of many twists and turns.

It is a highly addicting series, be prepared to want to read the next book in the series Dreamfever immediately after reading Faefever which comes out in August, 2009.

I do strongly recommend this entire series.
