5.0 out of 5 stars A look back into Ryan's past, Mar 18 2002
By A Customer
this book helped us to learn more about the freindship between Ryan and JB and to find out more about the great Trader. For me, Trader is more of a person now instead of just someone the boys like to quote. it also gave us a chance to meet dean's mother, sharona.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great stuff, April 14 1999
By A Customer
Thanks to Gold Eagles re-release of some of the earlier Deathlands novels, fans who might have some gaps in their collections can now pick up some classic Deathlands without any hassle. Ryan, while laid out with a case of botulism, relives memories of his time with the Trader and the war-wags in his mind. It's a well written glimpse back in Deathlands history that shows up the later, similarly set, 'Encounter' for exactly what it was. Compelling stuff indeed and highly recommended.
