This book tells you where to find birds in and near Vancouver, Canada and shows when each species is most abundant. It also describes in extreme detail all of the best locations to go birding in the area. I bought this guide two years after moving to Vancouver from the U.S. I was very surprised to learn of all the excellent birding locations that I had been missing out on for two whole years before buying this book. It definitely contains a lot of information that cannot be found on any website anywhere. The book is a MUST for anyone interested in birds or nature walks that lives in or near Vancouver and for any serious birders planning to visit Vancouver. I own about 25 books on birding and I regularly browse over local guides on where to find birds on my birding holidays. This is BY FAR the most accurate and helpful local guide that I have seen.
