It is exhilarating to see in these images from a century or so ago-the shameless pride in Canada as a new country full of splendour and beauty-and worth remembering that, for those millions abroad, who never came here, perceptions of our country were shaped by these virile advertising vehicles.

If only advertising was still done this way, with class. When railways & boats carved new routes around the world the image's from Canadian Pacific stimulated the imagination and set you on your travels. A great coffee table book.

History buffs will love this book. It takes you through the years of the beautiful posters that the Canadian Pacific Company released to promote their services. The book brings back great memories of a by gone era.
