3.0 out of 5 stars too many people writting this book, Jul 18 2000
By Tina L Williams (La Mesa, CA United States) - See all my reviews
If you can get past the inconsistancies in the book(such as the dark Elf's Grandfather suddenly being refered to as his Father)or the writting which at one point is very shallow as if the author is rushing to finish, then at another point more detailed like most of Misty's writting, the story line is very delightful. It almost seems as if there were several writters on this book and none of them bothered to read each others work.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice to read. (^_^), Mar 13 2000

Nice storyline, and you don't really need to read the other books in The Bard's Tale to understand this one. Good for light reading.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent fantasy, including magic, plots, and friendship, Dec 3 1998
By A Customer
This book encompassed the ideal aspects of a fantasy; it was not too simple, but not too complex; it was not too concentrated on battle and whatnot, but not too focused on characters. Recomended light reading. However, one outstanding question remains for the author: Is Alair Shay'a'chern?
