Product Description

Taoist Master Loy Ching-Yuen wrote The Supreme Way to give his students an understanding of how China’s three great religious traditions have co-existed for two thousand years. Never before translated or published in English, The Supreme Way contains chapters on each tradition.


About the Author

Loy Ching-Yuen was a teacher of martial and healing arts in the early 1900’s from Shanghai.

Trevor Carloan writes widely for Asian and Buddhist publications. His translations include The Colors of Heaven: Stories from the Pacific Rim and The Book of the Heart.

Du Liang taught classical Chinese literature at Changsha University in Hunan Province, China. He lives and works in Vancouver, B.C.

and reflective perusal. Written by a taoist teacher earlier this century, it is a short discussion of the important and unique tenets of taoism, and its relationship to Buddhism and Confusianism. Scholars will appreciate this clairifying elucidation of a confusing topic and the essential relationships of Taoism , Confucianism and Buddhism become clear and understandable. The casual reader will also enjoy the particularly enjoyable tone and refreshing insights of an accomplished teacher.
