1.0 out of 5 stars awful, Dec 2 2008

This book was recommended by my sister. I have forgiven her, It is awful, awful, awful.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great and easy recipes, Jun 20 2005
I found this book a great find. It has a wonderful recipe for whole wheat bread done in your slow cooker; how about a time saver.
The recipes are listed by people who have submitted them, so there are some variations on the same recipe. I welcome this; the variations help people who have allergies or when you are missing an ingredient.
This book would make a great wedding present.

1.0 out of 5 stars Extremely Unhealthy!, Jun 25 2004
By A Customer
I just browsed through this book while waiting for my mother in Walmart. I would not recommend it to anyone. Not only is it disorganized and repetitive as other reviewers have pointed out, but the steady reliance on beans and prepared soups and condiments promotes unhealthy eating habits. I found many of recipes to be purely disgusting.

2.0 out of 5 stars Forget it...not enough variety
I found this book on a bargain table, quickly glanced through it, and purchased it. Dumb-da-dumb-dumb.

This was a bad purchase. I wasted my money. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Ugh.
I don't recommend this book at all. So many of the recipies sound unappetizing, are high in fat, and call for a can of condensed cream of mushroom soup. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Real-life cooking

1.0 out of 5 stars Too many processed ingredients
Was disappointed to see so many recipes calling for processed foods (canned chicken, canned mushrooms, velveeta cheese, etc.). Doesn't seem up to the times

5.0 out of 5 stars Promises to deliver
This book is a conglomeration of lots and lots recipes. No pictures, no fuss. Easy to follow recipes with readily available ingredients. All in all, a real bang for your buck!

1.0 out of 5 stars Over promise and under deliver
This book is merely the conglomeration of lots and lots recipes. No pictures, no recommendations. Too much information, too little intelligence. All in all, not what I expected.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Really Great
I don't like this book. There are only a few recipes that I would use. What I don't like is that there are many duplicates of recipes with only small variations - they are... Read more
