This audio offers hope and practical suggestions for men who seek an alternative to the surgical treatment of prostate cancer. Clapp, a practicing attorney and coauthor of Awaken the Healer Within, was himself diagnosed with the disease and developed a regimen of diet, meditation, and other lifestyle changes that eradicated the cancer from his body. Narrator Tom Plant manages to hold the listener's interest, though the second half is tough going in this regard, becoming a series of lists of good and bad foods and other mundane action steps toward health. One is left with the impression that, in this case at least, a print copy that could be referred to regularly while trying out the author's methods would be much more practical than an audiobook one must replay in order to revisit the vital information contained in it. Nonetheless, this will be a welcome addition to alternative health collections and will offer new hope to the growing number of men who are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year. Books like these are invaluable to all men,especially considering that prostate cancer research receives only 1/3 the funding that breast cancer receives.So men are pretty much on their own.Fortunately,there are resources for men,though not as plentiful as for women.The current view that mens health is less important than womens and that men are dispensable,makes it vital that all men take an interest in their own health and in the health of men in general.You and I can make a difference!I encourage all men to participate in prostate cancer fundraising events whenever possible.Prostate cancer events are few and far between,and seldom ever publicized or promoted like breast cancer,nevertheless,seek them out and get involved.I have,and I feel good about it.

Offers many unique and very unusual opinions, but unfortunately almost none are supported by direct references to a study, clinical trial, or scientific article. Statement after statement is presented as fact with no support. With so many strong conclusive statements presented, if the results are so clear, where are the studies, medical articles and comparative trails with supporting results!! Book cannot or doesn't provide. Appendix does provide general references/addresses/phone numbers of other "..Healers and Products". I do not recommend this book

Risks doing serious harm to patients with prostate cancer. Treatment of prostate cancer should be left to qualified Urologists and Oncologists.
