Product Description

The way west for Rachel Sinclair led straight down the aisle.

And into the arms of a man she barely knew! But Cord McPherson had taken her and her brothers in when trouble struck along the trail. And Rachel believed in her heart that this marriage of convenience would grow into a bond more precious than gold.

An instant family wasn't something Cord McPherson had planned on acquiring, but the sight of Rachel protecting her brothers told him she was plenty strong enough to be his bride. And he was good and ready to make their promise to each other last a lifetime.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed with The Audio Recording!, Oct 19 2003
I listened to the audio book recording of The Wedding Promise by Carolyn Davidson, read by Jim Bond and while I thought the story was good I just didn't like the audio recording because I just didn't care for the way Jim Bond read it, not enough warmth and emotion in the reading for my taste and the voice for the male and female leads sounded too much alike, there really wasn't all that much difference and one of the voices for one of the other male characters sounded too much like Mr. Rogers and I kept picturing him breaking out in that Won't You be my Neighbor song. I recommend buying the paperback book instead of the audio cassette, I plan on going to a used bookstore and looking for the paperback book because I liked the story and it was just the audio reading that I didn't like.
