From Amazon.com

This is a particular favorite. Distrustful of men, Kate Connelly has buried herself in her career, shutting out all chance of romance. Then a handsome Spaniard, Ramon Galverra, walks into her life. He is different than other men she has known, full of pride and passion, and he treats her with respect. But it's his intimate touches that make Kate realize that she could easily lose her heart to this wonderful man. But pride can be a mighty barrier in relationships, and both Ramon and Kate must learn to trust before they can love. You will want to read this love story time and time again. --This text refers to the Mass Market Paperback edition.

Product Description

On Friday, a sensuous stranger entered Katie's life. By Sunday, her world would never be the same...

Stunning Katie Connelly submerged her painful past in a promising career, an elegant apartment, and men she could keep at a distance. Yet something vital was missing from her life -- until she met proud, rugged Ramon Galverra. With his urbane charm and his passionate nature, he gave her a love she had never known. In his arms, she came fully alive to his every touch. Still she was afraid to surrender her heart to this strong, willful, secretive man -- a man from a different world, a man with a bold, uncertain future...

New York Times bestselling author Judith McNaught captures the thrill of a once-in-a-lifetime passion in this tender and spellbinding novel.

3.0 out of 5 stars I like this one!!, April 27 2009
By L. Silva (TORONTO, Ontario CANADA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I was surprised to see such a low rating for this book. It's actually one of the Judith McNaught ones that I reread most often. It's got plenty of melodrama, lots of typical JM misunderstandings and make-up scenes. It's not a feminist story, but that's okay; it's good to mix things up and have a woman who's willing to quit her job and move with her man to a "foreign" locale. Ramon is gentlemanly but "macho", similar to other JM heroes. Katie is nice but a little ignorant, similar to other early JM heroines. It's not perfect, but as JM stories go, it's a pleasant time-waster. Don't be afraid to give it a chance.

2.0 out of 5 stars This is why i stay away from Contemporary Romance., Dec 20 2004
By Madison James "Madison" (Cannakalle, Turkey) - See all my reviews
Okay...lets keep in mind that this is my first contemporary romance by JM,i've read almost all of her historical stuff and love it to pieces but unfortunately Tender Triump aint a historical and i dont love it either.in one word to describe the book:Freaky.I kid you not.i mean the woman is so trusting...she met a guy in a dark parking lot,let him drive her car,let him inside her apartment and then make out with him....i mean what?!does she has a death wish or something?!
i'm just dunbstrucked by the whole plot, and thats not in a good way too.the guy's just to freakly obssessive(Dominant anyone?).Although the ending is good but the story lack a certain something...a logical plot.

1.0 out of 5 stars Tender Triumph, Jul 4 2004
By A Customer
don't get me wrong. i am a huge fan of McNaught's books. This book... i couldn't even finish reading it. i read a couple of chapters to know that i didn't like it. it's too obsessed, that's scary. the leading lady, i felt that, she needed more back bone, while the guy needed to be locked away. you don't feel any kind of connection with the charcters at all. this book lacks the magic of the author. not worth reading.
