Book Description

Are you tired of just talking about your problems? Have you been struggling to change your life, to lose weight, or eliminate a painful memory? Energy Tapping is an exciting, breakthrough book in the field of self-help. It is a wonderful guide to the power of our own bodies. The acu-pressure techniques in Energy Tapping will help you to stop sabotaging your life. You can control chronic anger or learn to stop picking the wrong person for a relationship.

Each chapter explores a different problem and provides a step-by-step approach with simple diagrams that identify the meridian points to tap. And each treatment can be completed in less than a minute. The techniques in Energy Tapping can help you reach peak performance at work, in sports, or in your personal life.

The theory is that an imbalance in your energy system creates chronic problems and self-sabotaging beliefs. Instead of endlessly analyzing your life, you will quickly learn how to free yourself from fear, chronic anger, and food cravings, or how to overcome feelings of depression and trauma.

From the Publisher

Energy psychology is a breakthrough new approach based on ancient techniques that allows one to literally tap into one's own energy system, balance it, and eliminate the causes of psychological problems or impediments. The book gives step-by-step instructions for self-administering acupuncture-based techniques that balance the body's bioenergy system and allow readers to live a life free of nagging emotional pain, self-sabotage, and unresolved issues.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is IT!, Mar 1 2004

EFT, TFT, and Energy Tapping are all pretty much the same and this book does a really good job at teaching the techniques. I would recommend going to emofree.com (EFT) and consider purchasing their CD-ROM's of workshop material. It's always easier to learn when you can see someone else demonstrating it for you.

I've tried just about everything over the years and I must say this is the real deal... FINALLY. I got my first panic attack, and subsequent depression, when I was 13 and the problems only worsened as I aged. I'm 39 now and my only regret is not having this amazing tool years ago. The long-standing social phobia I had literaly vanished within the first couple sessions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Energy Tapping, Oct 8 2007
By Tami Brady "Whole Health Therapist" (Calgary, Canada) - See all my reviews
(TOP 50 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
Most people are probably aware of the basic purpose and potential health benefits of acupuncture and acupressure. Energy tapping follows the same basic premises of these two types of therapy. The only differences are that energy tapping looks at only 17 median points on the body, mostly located in the face, hand, and upper chest areas. Moreover, instead of applying pressure or using specialized needles, energy tapping as the name suggests, consists of light tapping on these areas. This process is so simple that the reader can easily do the therapy on him or herself as needed for help with everything from anxiety and depression through reduction of cravings and help with weight loss to improving relationships and dealing with trauma.

The exercises set out in Energy Tapping are simple to do by following the instructions and using the various illustrated charts in each section of the book. Moreover, the reader will find some relief even with the very first set of therapies.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, this really works, April 14 2006
By A Customer
I brought this book with me on a trip. The environment that I was in was extremely stressfull and I found myself having anxiety attacks. I had not practiced the techniques in this book and figured that it was the perfect time, because of the stressfull situation I was in. AMAZINGLY, this stuff works! I was able to calm down, change my thought patterns, my anxiety went away and I was more clear headed. You can go into a bathroom (or somewhere private) to quickly practice these techniques if you are in a stressfull situation. I think they are a great way to start your day and change negetive thought patterns. I am also interested in Palm Therapy, just because it is nice to have a tool at your fingertips (no pun intended)that you can do anywhere. (It is alot less obvious to rub your hand in public, rather than tapping on various areas of your body.) But really, what matters is, does it work? Yes, for me it does, absolutely.
