Synopsis

Emmanuelle is the first and most infamous of the French softcore-porn series about a young woman's awakening to new sexual dimensions. Sylvia Kristel became a star with her portrayal of Emmanuelle, the suppressed wife of a diplomat. By virtue of her husband's profession, Emmanuelle is introduced to any number of handsome, virile men and beautiful, adventurous women, all more than willing to escort the sheltered young lady to the farthest reaches of sensuality. Nudity and eroticism abounds in Emmanuelle, but the sex scenes are discreetly photographed (shadows and elusive camera angles predominate) to evoke eroticism and suggestiveness in lieu of raunch. As the Emmanuelle series dragged on, the sex became more perfunctory and the storylines overladen with gimmicks; this film is comparatively basic and straightforward. A french worlwide masterpiece of erotism! The music theme and the shots and Silvia are still floating in my head....even after years of watching it, nice "chef d'oeuvre" of sensual pleasure.

Too bad that the producers/Amazon did not "digitally" remastered this treasure....colours are faded out...what a shame, what a waste!!!!!!.

This should be preserved as a world legacy for erotic and sensual movie....way above the "raw meat" of now porn............

REALLY, THERE IS VERY LITTLE PLOT TO FIND IN THIS FRENCH-MADE SOFT-CORE PORN FLICK. BUT, THERE ARE PLENTY OF HOT SEX SCENES TO SPARE IN THIS CLASSIC PORNO FLICK. IT'S BASICALLY ABOUT A YOUNG WOMAN [SYLVIA KRISTEL] WHO JUST ENCOUNTERS SEX EVERYWHERE SHE GOES, WHETHER IT BE WITH MEN OR WOMEN. SURE, THE ACTING AIN'T GOOD, AND SURE, IT'S VERY SHORT ON PLOT, BUT THEN AGAIN, ALMOST ALL PORNO MOVIES ARE SHORT ON PLOT. THIS HAS BEAUTIFULLY FILMED SEX SCENES AND IT HAS AN EXCELLENT THREESOME FOR AN ENDING. WHETHER YOU'RE A YOUNG OR OLD FAN OF SOFT-CORE OR EVEN HARD-CORE PORN, THEN GET THIS NOW. THE FILM COULD'VE USED BETTER DUBBING. FOLLOWED BY A NUMBER OF SEQUELS.

I had seen this film years ago and thought I'd give it another try.. Sound and background music are on the poor side.. Acting is vauge. There is an attempt to prop up the acting with nudity buy even that failed.. Having been to Thailand, I must say I enjoyed the background shots of the country, but it didn't help the movie much..The director of this film went all out to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.. WHY was this put in the adult section? Don't waste you money on this movie.. You'd be better off watching a cartoon.... Another beauty from the wonderful folks at Amazon.com. Thats strike three for this kid...
