I hated this book because it was long and boring and hard to follow. People just popped up in the story and it didn't explained who they were. It is 389 pages of nothing. Also the story ended with Jekyll saying goodbye.

The story was about a friend of Dr. Jekyll named Mr. Utterson. He wants to know more about a really mysterous man named Mr. Hyde. Hyde is really ugly and really mean.
Mr. Utterson thinks Mr. Hyde murdered Dr. Jekyll because Hyde has all of Jekyll's stuff and money. Mr. Utterson wants know how he knows Jekyll.

The Grerat Illustrated Classics are made easier but I'm in seveth grade. This is so easy a second greader could read this book. The only reason way I read this book because I wanted to read a scary story for Halloween but this was not a scary story it was just long and boring.
