I am not sure if this is a romance or a suspense novel. The background is well set in the wagon and reads realistic, but the romance scenes are so repetitive and the characters' thoughts and doubts are so flawed and ridiculous sometimes.

I did read the book without putting it down, but SB has written better novels.

This book is great in that it describes heaving bosoms in so many different ways. It wasn't what I expected from such a writer. And what was this? He prized her knees apart? I think he pried. The descriptions of Ross and Lydia were so repetitious.And phony. The history wasn't right either. Divorces were not the common thing they are today.
