I fell in love with this book the moment I picked it up and have bought it for every new mom I know! Everyone always says they want and instruction manual for their kids.... well this is the closest thing I've found. It's NOT a how to book, is a HOW COME book. It really inspires you to think about what you want for your kids and gives great insight into how thing effect the development of your little treasure.

This book is for EVERYONE! My husband loves it and all my friends do as well. No matter your race, religion, age, etc. everyone will find something in this book to take away. It is something you can keep and read to your children as they grow and pass onto them when they are grown.

My mom bought me this book with the birth of my son and it is a treasure. I buy this book for every new mom I know. The reason this book is so great is the short chapters are easy to fit in when the baby is feeding or sleeping and it helps you to see through the tired hormonal emotional state that all new moms find themselves in. This book is a wonderful gift. My second baby is due soon and I have it out and ready in the nursey to re-read at those late night feedings! Another book that is a wonderful companion to this is the Twelve Gifts of Birth.

This beautiful book was given to me as a gift after the birth of my daughter. Because it is written in very short chapters, it's easy to pick up and put down. I read 1-2 chapters every night before bed and it helped me focus on what's really important - the loving relationship between me and my baby, and the most important gifts I can give to her. It's easy to get stressed out when you're sleep deprived and rushing around taking care of a baby. But this book helped me keep it all in perspective - my tiny baby will be small for such a short time - I have to make the most of every moment so that she will develop her own talents and self esteem, and know that she is truly loved. Highly recommended!
