Product Description

The Official adaptation of the Tim Burton summer blockbuster sci-fi movie, Planet of the Apes, all in one bumper graphic novel collection. It's the year 2029, and astronaut/pilot Leo Davidson is caught in a special anomaly, stranded on a world where gorillas and chimps are the dominant species. A world where the remnants of mankind struggle to survive beneath the heel of ape rule. Then, in a unique story created especially for this collection, we discover what happens in the aftermath of Leo's adventure on the ape world.

From the Publisher

Planet of the Apes writer Ian Edginton brings a world of intriguing experience to his role as the writer of some of the top comics and graphic novels available today. The Birmingham, England native wasn't always a major player in the world of four-color storytelling, but he's led a colorful life, nevertheless. After spending a few years of his young adult life as a landscape gardener and dog groomer, the articulate Brit pursued other endeavors. Edginton entered the world of environmental activism as the public relations director for a wildlife agency and moonlighted as a freelance writer for underground film and indie music magazines, which he later went on to edit. The eclectic Edginton's knack for writing was clear from the start, and his fascination with science fiction and storytelling eventually led him to explore the world of comic books. Now, Edginton is an Eisner Award-nominated writer, and a creative contributor to some of the hottest comics and graphic novels of recent years including Marvel's Blade and X-Force, DC's Batman, and Dark Horse's Aliens, Star Wars, Predator, and Planet of the Apes books. He's also written a children's book and dabbles in television and radio work in his native England. --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.
