About the Author
Paul Stewart is the author of the hugely successful Edge Chronicles series, illustrated by Chris Riddell. He is also the author of The Midnight Hand and The Wakening (a Federation of Children's Book Groups Pick of the Year). In 2004 he won the Nestle Smarties Book Prize for Fergus Crane. He lives in Brighton. Chris Riddell is an accomplished graphic artist who has illustrated many acclaimed books for children and has won the Unesco Award for Something Else, has twice won the Kate Greenaway medal and has been shortlisted for the Kurt Maschler Award. He is also the acclaimed political cartoonist for the Guardian and the Observer. Alex Jennings is one of Britain's leading actors.
