From Amazon.com

This fast-moving adventure opens Maggie Furey's second fantasy sequence, "The Shadowleague"; her first was the "Artefacts of Power" tetralogy. The Heart of Myrial is set in a particularly artificial-seeming fantasyland, which proves to be not a world but a technomagical construct, divided into isolated regions by sorcerous barriers of force. Thanks to the machinations of a bad guy who may have good motives, these "curtain walls" are now failing--the first symptoms being clashes between the enclaves' different environments, leading to prolonged descriptions of truly lousy weather. In theory the barriers are guarded by and can be penetrated only by Loremasters of the Shadowleague, a secret inner circle of representatives from this patchwork world's various species: humans, dragons, centaurs, wind-sprites, insectile aliens, and more. In practice the Shadowleague is almost impotent.

Against this complex background, various characters struggle across the landscape through terrible weather. A woman Loremaster and her irrepressibly feisty firedrake companion play leading parts in the large cast (many of whom suffer death or worse). After tortuous regroupings and plot twists centered on a particular city that houses a key magical shrine, the book concludes with a gory invasion of nasties through the holed curtain wall. It reads well enough, and of course there's more to come. --David Langford, Amazon.co.uk

5.0étoiles sur 5 Can you possibly ask for anything better?, Mars 4 2002

Of all the D and D books I've read, I've never taken a liking to anything really. No books were able to capture my attention, but oh dear lordy, Maggie Furey had me at hello. LoL, for real though, this book is a definite must for hard core Dungeon and dragon's type people, or those that just want something fantastical.

5.0étoiles sur 5 ***!! ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !!***, Juil 14 2001
Par Un client
This book was very, very cool! I have to say that the first few chaptors took me a few weeks to read, lol, cause they were slow, but all books do that to you until you really get to know and love the charectors. I have absolutely no idea when the nxt book is coming out, and to be honest, I'm getting impatient cause I want to find out what happens!! Well, I really honestly and truly reccomend this book, so read it if you have time!

5.0étoiles sur 5 Can YOU handle it? Well can ya!, Déc 7 2000
Par "randall_s" (Winchester, KY USA) - Voir tous mes commentaires
This is a highly satisfying that mixes many different pantheons from around the world. With pieces from her previous books as well as the books of other well known authors, this series is bound to be a hit. As it should be with the first book of any series this does start out at a relitively slow pace. However when hardship strikes, it is heartfelt by the read.

For a book that can move you. Make you laugh, cry, and experience everything as if you where there then read this book.
