About the Author
Wole Soyinka was the first African writer to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. He is a much-celebrated poet, playwright and political activist and was imprisoned in Nigeria for his opposition to dictatorship. He now divides his time between the UK, Nigeria and the United States.
