This is a perfect book for young families or people who come from the city to hike Main Street in Canmore. There are plenty of quick and easy hikes between Calgary and Canmore that will still leave time to stroll the town and have a leisurely meal. The author has a included a good amount of narrative for each trail. Colored maps; trail features including plants, animals, historical facts; and advice on the best times of the year put this book over the top.

Really a good book for short hikes in and around Canmore. The book features Canmore and area and then Kananaskis and area. Most of the hikes are in the 5-10km range.
