4.0 out of 5 stars Only one big deception : I want the second part now!, Jan 16 2004
By A Customer
This is just the first part of LVT's acclaimed series. Still interresting, though it gets really ectic in the second part. Udo Kier fans will also be disapointed of his relative absence in the first five episodes ; the rest is yet to be edited on DVD.

The quality is ok, the image is clear enough to render properly the original's notorious grainy feel. Minor complaints : you can't turn off the english subtitles, and have no access whatsoever to the international dubbings that were made. An interview with Lars is always a nice bonus, though. Still worth it just for the content.

By A Customer
...in Denmark anyway. Lars von Triers masterpiece is a must-see. It's a dark, scary and most of all funny story. It takes place at Denmarks biggest hospital, and deals with the supernatural. It is his best work to date...
