5.0 out of 5 stars A Journey Through The Secret Life Of George!, Jun 9 2004
By Andre' S Grindle "Funk Meister" (Bangor,ME.) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
These albums are sold seperately but for a full dose of George Harrison's post Apple works HERE IT IS.Everything the
quiet Beatle recorded from 1976 to 1992 from the R&B oriented
material of his mid 70's work, his early 80's new wave experiments in the early 80's and his 1987 comeback album
'Cloud 9'.You even get the ENTIRETY of his 1992 Live In Japan
album as Disk 6.So dream away and swallow this WHOLE!You'll come
out all the better I guarentee!

5.0 out of 5 stars The genius that is George, Jun 5 2004
By Robert H. Firth "bEATLEFAN" (Madison, Indiana United States) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
George has always been misunderstood by naysayers and those who only saw John and Paul as the true talents of the Fab Four. Every song that is on this set is pure musical genius. From THIS SONG and SOFT HEARTED HANA to FASTER and BLOW AWAY to THIS IS LOVE and IF THAT WHAT IT TAKES,every song is golden. If you really want to hear real music the way it's supposed to be done, not only get this set, but, if you don't have already, also get ALL THINGS MUST PASS, LIVING IN THE MATERIAL WORLD, DARK HORSE, and EXTRA TEXTURE. To have George Harrison in your collection is a must if you truly appreciate great music.

1.0 out of 5 stars WHAT'S CAPITAL THINKING, May 12 2004
By A Customer
For the price, they should have released the box set with original album packaging and inserts. If they released SOMEWHERE IN ENGLAND with the original cover, then why not with the original song lineup and have the replacement songs as bonus tracks (most of the bonus tracks are jokes anyway). Where is LAY HIS HEAD, SAT SINGING, I DON'T WANT TO DO IT among others. Wake up Capital, this set shouldn't have cost more than $70 (if that much). What's next, his 8 Apple albums in a box set for $175 (I would love to see the bonus track they would put on ELECTRIC SOUND).
Capital released this set so they could have included some of his Apple recordings (DEEP BLUE, MISS O'DELL, I DON'T CARE ANYMORE which were b-sides not on albums or, so far, CDs). Do you really need bonus tracks of the same year as the album it's on is made?
For the DVD, some of his "music videos" made me cringe. The DVD could have been done much better. Don't buy this set because of the DVD (I did, OUCH!!!!!!!!!). All in all, buy the CDs seperate, you'll save your hard earned money.
