DS V.S. PSP, Juil 24 2007
Amusant:4.0étoiles sur 5
I've read so many reviews putting these two portables against each other. I have the last one you will ever need. You see, the fact of the matter is, the two are completely different. So much so, that they almost cannot be compared. As a person who owns both, I can say I do so, for two completely different reasons. Really, if you know what you want, the decision should be clear. My PSP is generally my media player that happens to play games too. I have it for the music, movies, picture viewing, occasional email checking. The DS on the other hand is...fun. Thats pretty much it (in a good way). It's designed for alternative controls meant to be a new way to have fun, and it is. For all ages. And even if it comes down to specific games, it's still pretty straight forward. Nintendo has the same type of games they've had for years(for the most part). It comes down to what matters to you most; How they look, or how they play. One is cool, one is fun. One is complicated, one is simple. To me, the two should never have been compared in the first place. It's like putting my digital camera against a voice recorder. Anyway, hope this helped, I'm sure it would have helped me.
P.S. Aside from all the crap, if you just want to play games, I personally, am irratated at the rate good games are produced for PSP. I'm just not interested in a lot of em. They seem so basic or done before.

Nintendo DS - Nintendo once again changes everything., Nov. 30 2005
When this system first came out, i would have told you not to buy it... yet... simply because there weren't that many games that would appeal to anyone except the diehard fans. Now, things are very different. With 2 colour, backlit screens, one of them being touch sensitive, powerful enough to produce great 3d graphics, and an array of titles that will satisfy anyone, and now online compatibility, I have 2 words if you are considering buying a DS.BUY IT. The Nintendo DS explodes a variety of simple ideas and does it perfectly. There are two screens, one of them being a touchscreen and allows an endless array of new ideas. With such games like Mario Kart, Castlevania, Sonic Ruch, Tony Hawk, and others, now is a great time to buy a DS. It may not have all the gimicky features that the PSP does, but in the end, the DS is a winner and has a very bright future ahead of it. If you're wanting some good reviews on the system and it's games, look no further to www.ign.com which can give you a more in depth look at what the system can do. If you buy the system and an online compatible game... maybe i'll see you online! ;)

I have both a PS2 and Gamecube, so no fanboy bias, Oct. 16 2005

Your choice between a Nintendo DS and a Sony PSP is depending on what you're looking for as a portable entertainment. The advantages of a PSP is nicer graphics, MP3 capabilities, and be able to view movies. While the DS is graphically less superior, but has very distinct selling points. Nintendo tends to offer something unique everytime rather than just an upgrade to graphics. If you want more innovative games that go beyound the movement of thumbs then go for DS. If graphics is a major concern than stick with a PSP. Personally, I bought a DS because it was unique and the gaming experience was something that the consoles and PSP couldn't offer.
