Product Description

From Amazon.com

Audioslave's first album was recorded before the band members ever played a single show together. Its follow-up was made after a year-and-a-half on the road. The difference is clear from the outset. Where the debut merely sounded like Chris Cornell of Soundgarden singing over the three members of Rage Against The Machine who weren't Zach de la Rocha, Out of Exile feels like the real thing. Even as the '90s rock super-group stomps through familiar terrain --arena-rock crunch on "Your Time Has Come", quiet-loud fury with "Doesn't Remind Me" and gut-shifting Zeppeling blues in "Number One Zero"--it sounds infinitely more relaxed and confident than the last time around. --Aidin Vaziri >

5.0 out of 5 stars Out of Exile is one of the best albums from Audioslave., Aug 18 2006

When Soundgarden and Rage Against the Machine decided to call it quits- a supergroup emerged and on Audioslave's second album, OUt of Exile, the band delivers!! Your Time Has Come, Doesn't Remind Me and the classic, Be Yourself, makes this album a welcome surprise for fans of Soundgarden. I was always a Soundgarden fan and I didn't discover Audioslave until the song, Be Yourself was featured in the RAW DIVA SEARCH and it became the theme song for Christy Hemme- now an interviewer in NWA-TNA. Anyway, Audioslave found success with this album and this album, Out of Exile doesn't disappoint.

It was worth the money and one of the best metal albums from a supergroup.

Audioslave rocks!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Une amélioration..., Jul 18 2005
By Chicken1509 (Montréal) - See all my reviews
Audioslave s'est définitivement amélioré avec cet album... Le groupe joue avec plus de chimie, et non en individuels comme leur premier album. Ils ont prit un son plus mature, quoique plus "radio-friendly".

Les points forts sont:

Be yourself
Heaven's dead
Your time has come
Out of the exile

2.0 out of 5 stars Send this Album into Exile, Jun 14 2005

Since I heard that Audioslave was coming out with a new album considering how excellent the first one is, but then I heard "Out of Exile". For some reason the album lacks something, although the Tim C and Tom Morello are awesome musicians, but they weren't represented well with this album. However, the new Audioslave lacks the soul the original did, it sorta sounds like they went through the motions of playing; Or perhaps it was the more limited involvement that Rick Ruben had in the production of the album. The album is disappointing considering who the band members are, some of the songs are almost unlistenable. Although I still consider the group a super group, in my opinion they just put out a sub-par album. Hopefully, they just fell to the old sophmore jinx as most bands do; guess we'll see with the 3rd album.

4.0 out of 5 stars takes a few listens
Cornell sounds like he is more at the helm of this project than the last one. I don't find him screaming as much either, but that's a good thing cause he can sing "mary had... Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Better... yeah, better.
A much better effort.

The self-titled album consisted of RATM tracks with Cornell's vocals about drug addiction, which got boring after a few listens, and simply made me want... Read more
