1.0 out of 5 stars Things haven't been better since 2004, Sep 25 2005
By Mario Dieguez (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) - See all my reviews
This wasn't what I had expected.
In my opinion, Money 2004 had better features than 2005 and 2006.
The feature 2004 had was it's Cashflow Forecast.
It had a line graph and you could choose which accounts to monitor and for which time period from the next 7 days to 1 whole year. It would show how much your accounts would have at a given point. Very useful in seeing how much cash you had to spend or when to transfer money into an account which will go under.
2006 Canadian Edition doesn't have this great function and doesn't have the debt reduction planner.
To get these, you would have to go for the Money 2006 Deluxe which is not sold in Canada.

If you could find a 2004 Money, my opinion take it. I'm uninstalling 2006 and going back to 2004.

2.0 out of 5 stars Could Have Been Better, Aug 17 2005
By A Customer
I recently purchased Money 2006 to upgrade to a Canadian version. This doesn't give you the tax hints, and is basically the same as previous version. I was quite disappointed and felt like I have wasted my money.

1.0 out of 5 stars BEWARE!!!!!, April 8 2006
By A Customer
This slick package of garbage is trying to pass itself off as financial software. Beware! If you are serious of keeping close track of personal cash flow, investments, and other financial related matters important to you, then stay clear of Money 2006. It is difficult to use, is not detailed enough(for that you would need the "Deluxe" or "Premium" package, but being Canadian, you aren't worthy), and I'm plain fed-up of trying to get it to do the things I need. Though I haven't tried Quicken, I can't see ift being any worse. Oh...one more thing Canadian this ain't.

Microsoft Money 2006 Canadian Edition falls well short on its claim to be a 'Canadian Edition'. You are going to have to look hard to find ways to manage your Canadian retirement... Read more

I've used Microsoft Money since 2003, and I think 2006 will be my final version (I'm going to try switching to Quicken). Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars Too few customization
Customization options are too few. Design is too fragile and not easy to recover or revert to previous settings. Browsing is too much of a "webby". Read more
