With Magilla Gorilla you will find that it is trying to be able to continue in the fine form that Hanna Barbera started with Yogi, Huckleberry and The Flintstones. Magilla comes up close but no banana. The quality is not quite excellent but it is still a very good cartoon series with Richochet Rabbit and Mushmouth cartoons with it.

Magilla Gorilla and Mr. Peebles aren't too happy with Warner Studios. This show may not be at the top of the Hanna Barbera list, but Magilla Gorilla is still one of their most memorable and beloved characters. It's too bad that this DVD release didn't receive the amount of restoration it truly deserved. The opening Magilla Gorilla theme song and closing segments are missing. The video transfers of the various cartoons range from good to poor. It's obvious that this was a rush job by Warner Studios and they should be ashamed of themselves. The quality of this DVD release is well below the standard of the other Hanna Barbera release's currently being sold. In my opinion Warner has given Magilla Gorilla fans a rotten banana!
