Showtime, has developed the common 'Sapranos' 'gangster' type theme for this new series into a unique irish setting in an unlikely locale. The plot and characters are developed more deeply than other series of its kind. The action sequences are well planned and realistic. The writers and producers do a great job of intertwining the underworld of organized crime and that of everyday, lower-middle class residents of this unique neighborhood. I thoroughly enjoyed each episode and hope that season two follows in kind.

Love the characters in this show, the acting is top shelf. The first couple of episodes reel you in and dont let go. It can get talky at times but that is hardly a gripe, just my wife mentioned that to me. She preferred the Sopranos because she had an easier time figuring everything out but all in all this is a fantastic show.
