A galaxy full of iconic and cult faves from the DC Comics universe, Jui 30 2007
My other half was excited to get this at hand. He had waited forever to see all these amazing super heroes together and this show did not disappoint in the slightest. Plots that make Hollywood movies look like grade school plays and dialogue witty enough to keep "House" fans entertained. More than 50 favorite comic book superheroes combine forces to keep the world safe in this action-packed animated series. Using their special powers of flight, time travel, ultra human strength and more, the members of the Justice League battle notorious villains such as Lex Luthor and Cadmus.
This UNLIMITED series carries on from the regular JL series. It's all around great. More characters, more action. It can spread itself a bit thin since it has so many different characters, but that's the way it would be. The original series had only a few characters, so you got a lot of character development. Here, it's a bit spread out, but by now, you already know the main players.
The season two finale, "Epilogue," is a particularly dramatic episode set 65 years in the future, when Batman Beyond's Terry McGinnis learns some shocking revelations about his parentage from an aged Bruce Wayne. The two-parter "The Once and Future Thing," stood out to me as well as "Kid Stuff, and "This Little Piggy," when Circe turns Wonder Woman into a pig while seeing the lighter side of Batman towards the end in the nightclub.
If you're a fan of the JLA or DC Universe, you owe it to yourself to check these out. Brilliantly animated, smartly written, and superbly acted by a stellar voice cast, Justice League offers unlimited enjoyment you'll not only want to view/borrow but buy as well. Great for kids and adults alike.

Big kid enjoys series..but almost didn't buy it., Nov. 6 2006
*Warner Bros...If you include more in the DVD bundle the fans will buy it. :P
This series kept getting moved around on the YTV channel. It frustrated me and the episodes were being aired out of order. As a fan I am ecstatic to have this set in my hands. Not much in wonderful extras, but I get to see more of the series and now plots are making sense to me. The Justice League and Justice League Unlimited titles were confusing.
To collect the series, purchase Justice League Season One & Justice League Season Two.
For seasons three and four, buy - Justice League Unlimited Season One.
The writing in seasons 3 & 4 have been kicked up a notch. I found myself leaning forward addicted to my "cartoon soap". :P The artists have my respect. Nothing in the writing nor the visuals gets compromised.
Fans will enjoy having access to this series, its a must have in your dvd library. I only hope that Warner Bros. will spare no expense in dvd extras upon the release of season five.
The only downside is that whatever episodes were made/aired in 2006 in this series..is the end. :((
I keep the hope alive of a continuation.
Unless another series is in the works. :O

Excellent cartoon series... ok dvd with serious omission and one glaring mistake, Oct. 28 2006
I purchased this set in the US and got a jump on the Canadian release by a couple days but since I hadn't made a purchase from the US Amazon site, I find myself writing this for the benefit of my neighbors up North.
No need to go over the source material because anyone interested in dropping 30-40 bucks on this set already knows the excellent series that Justice League Unlimited was.
What I do take issue with is the omission of any commentary what so ever on the latter half of this set, which contained, far and away, one of the best executions of compelling story telling EVER in the history of mainstream American animation. The fact that I would rather watch JL and JLU repeats than ANY number of bloated, big-budget, live action fiascos based on comic book properties speaks volumes of the quality of the DCAU up to the JLU series.
Bruce Timm takes credit for a lot of the series success and rightfully so but I think the contributions of writer Dwayne McDuffie and director Joaquim Dos Santos were key to giving the series it's fresh, exiting perspective. I would have loved to hear from them, as well as anyone else involved, regarding the Cadmus stories. Too bad no one say fit to comment on such a bold, important storyline.
I'm not sure what the bean-counters' at Warners were thinking when they put these sets together but what they need to realize is that people who are passionate about these shows are willing to pay for value-added content and at the same time, make an arguement that there is a point to buying them as opposed to just ripping your own DVD collection. The JLU set makes a poor case for itself for anyone that has ripped their own already.
The mistake that this set has is that the Disc 4 episodes are out of order! The first episode is "Question Authority" which ends with Captain Atom intercepting Superman, the Question, and the Huntress as the attempt to leave the Cadmus facility. Great. But the next episode immediately following is the side- bar "Hunter's Moon" ... a good enough episode on its own but certainly not the continuation I was looking for. The Cadmus escape picks up again in "Flashpoint". I spent 5 minutes with the DVD remote thinking I had accidentally skipped the chapter before I realized the problem was the DVD itself!
All in all, an excellent series with a missed opportunity on the DVD release so unless Warner's starts double-dipping its cartoon catalouge (highly unlikely), this is the best its going to get.
Enjoy
