Yep, The Lion King was unaccreditedly ripped off from an older Japanese anime series called, Leo The Lion, Atlantis was culled from another anime series called, Nadia: The Secret Of Blue Water, and it would seem that, My Pet Monster, was the, Inspiration, for yet another Disney Studio classic, Lilo & Stitch.

Both have a blue monster, who although should be evil, are cute and lovable, who get into unintended trouble due to their unfamiliarity with humans and human culture (and are both kind of clumsy to boot).

Both blue monsters talk pretty much the same, LOVE to eat garbage, and have a big, scary, antagonist, trying to bring them back to where they came from.

So if you loved Lilo & Stitch and want to see its predecessor, then this is a great series to check out.

I watched this show as a kid and loved it this is just a bare bones set but the full series is there.
