This series is not only entertaining but informative as well. There are many layers to the stories beyond the murder mystery itself. There is continuity of the main characters who have their own story line. Each episode reveals a little of what people of Great Britian experienced during war time, such as the drive for scrap metal, the live bombs that fell and had to be dismantled, the bombings themselves. The characters are believable and the whole package is excellent.
