James Patterson proves that he can write more than just murder mysteries in this touching novel of a woman who desires to leave a legacy to her unborn child. Suzanne seemed to be perfect. Katie is the new love in Matt's life, or she was before he walked out. Reading the diary that Suzanne left to Nicholas will cause her to see Matt in a whole new light. Be prepared to shed some tears in this heartbreaking story.

As Pat Traymore investigates Senator Abigail Jennings she finds more than what she was looking for! Pat embarks on a mystery that causes her to deal with her own troubled, tragic past. There are many twists and surprises in this story, a characteristic of MHC books. It's hard to put down!

This was the first book that I read from Mary Higgins Clark and it is definitely one of the best!
Laurie was kidnapped as a young child and mysteriously set free two years later. The young girl completely blocked out the time that she spent with her kidnappers. So much so, that she developed multiple personality disorder that surface every time something traumatic happens in her life. After the death of her parents, they have resurfaced. Now one of Laurie's professors has been brutally murdered. Was Laurie responsible? She doesn't know!

4.0 out of 5 stars Where Are the Children?, Feb. 6 2003
This is the best book that I have read by Mary Higgens Clark. It is full of suspense and keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end! You will sympathize with Nancy Eldredge as she stands accused of the unthinkable - the cause of the disappearance of her children.
Nancy and her husband ray have two children, Mike & Missy. She seemed to have the picture perfect life. When the children are missing, Nancy is devastated. Or is she? Seven years earlier, Nancy Harmon was found guilty of the murder of her children, Peter and Lisa. She was so hated by the public that she changed her appearance and changed her name. Is history repeating itself? You will not be able to put this one down until you find out!

You Belong To Me
You Belong To Me

Edition: Mass Market Paperback
Price: CDN$ 9.49

3.0 out of 5 stars You Belong To Me, Feb. 6 2003
You Belong To Me traces the mystery surrounding the deaths of several lonely young women. Dr. Susan Chandler, radio talk show host, finds herself in the middle of the story after she invites a guest on her show to talk about his book.
The underlying plot to this book seems a little strange. Although it is not obvious who the killer is until the end of the book, it is also not obvious why they killed in the first place!

This novels tells the story of Elizabeth Lange who desperately wants to put away the murderer of her famous sister. She accepts an invitation to a spa to get some more perspective on her grief. Unfortuately the man she believes killed her sister is there also, along with several of her sister's enemies. Will she be able to solve the murder before the killer gets the best of her?
This books is very well-written. It is obvious that a lot of thought was put into it. Another definite page-turner from MHC!

3.0 out of 5 stars Before I Say Good-Bye, Feb. 6 2003
Although this is not MHC's best work, this book is worth the read. Nell MacDermott is toying with the idea of running for office. Nell has doubts, and her husband's alleged scam is a definite negative obstacle. When he becomes a victim of a boat explosion, Nell begins to look into her husband's life and finds more than she bargained for!
The characters are not as well thought out in this book as they are in most MHC mysteries. However, it is still entertaining.

3.0 out of 5 stars Holiday Suspense, Feb. 5 2003
He Sees You When You're Sleeping is a light holiday suspense about a man, Sterling who is in heaven's waiting room and his journey to gain his entrance in. Sterling is sent to young Marissa to help her out in a sticky situation involving her family and the mob. Marissa's father and grandmother are sheltered in the witness protection program and Marissa cannot bear Christmas without them. This story is not meant to be heavy by any means. The plot could have definitely been developed more.

This book is very suspenseful, a great quality of MHC. It is a little darker than most of her books, but still a thrill!
