1.0 out of 5 stars Do not choose the "Choose It" either!, Feb. 26 2016
I understand what she's trying to do here, with some interesting comparisons between less and more "healthy" options. But to list a menu item with sometimes as much as 40, 50, 60, even 105 grams of fat under a heading that says "Choose It!" seems to me the height of irresponsibility. If those items are the "healthiest" ones she could find, then I would say that some of those restaurants should be listed under a heading that says "Don't eat here at all if you value your life!" Honestly. This book made me really....mad!

I've been hoping that the incomparable Mary Engelbreit would do a book on the "real meaning of Christmas" theme, and it's finally here. Just lovely, beautifully illustrated Christmas carols, Bible verses, small stories and poems. My 3 and 6 year old granddaughters love it, and it will be one to keep forever. Thank you, Mary!

This review is from: My Stroke of Insight (Paperback)
I read this book from my library, and felt it was so important that I bought my own copy. This is an utterly fascinating account of a young brain scientist's stroke - she tells her story from the point of view of the sufferer and also as a scientist who knew what was happening at the moment. It would be valuable reading for anyone who will ever have a stroke, or who loves someone who has. It is especially useful in showing us how to help someone in that situation during the long months of recovery. I can't recommend it highly enough.
